Introduction

Idea generation is a creative process used to come with new and innovative approaches. Being creative in a professional environment can be commercially beneficial. However, where the benefits of idea generation cannot be contested, the generation of ideas may not be as straightforward. Interesting ideas take time to develop and are not instant successes. We need to encourage good ideas, nurture them and help to evolve them into great realities.

Our Course

Our course in idea generation looks at 50 of the main techniques for idea generation. We explain which technique is suited for which type of individual and the various scenarios in which they can be applied.

This course is ideal for anyone regardless of industry or experience.

There are no prerequisites to take this course.

Aims and Objectives

At the end of this course the attendees should be able to have the knowledge of various idea generation techniques and also gain an understanding of which technique would be most suitable in a given situation.

Our course explores 50 different idea generation idea tools and techniques. Some of which are:

  • SCAMPER

  • Synectics

  • Attribute listing

  • Delphi Method

  • Morphological Analysis

  • Nominal Group Technique

  • Six Thinking Hats

  • TRIZ Contradiction Analysis

  • The Kipling method (5W1H)

  • Rightbraining

  • Storyboarding

​Course Methodology

This course is an instructor led classroom based environment. The classes will be conducted over 1 day. The course consists of a blend of lectures, application, individualistic and team based exercises. The attendees will also be provided with a handout of the various techniques, which they are able to take away for reference at a later point. All other materials will be provided to the attendees in the classroom environment. At the conclusion of the course a certificate can be obtained.
